Weâre so grateful to The Whale West Asheville for their ongoing partnership over the past two years. Their support has meant so much to Literacy Togetherâand to the learners we serve.
From inviting us to their Whaleastic Grown-Up Book fairs (raffles, beer, and booksâwhatâs not to love?), highlighting Literacy Together, and organizing another hilarious spelling bee this spring (the first one was last year!), theyâve helped us raise awareness and funds in fun and creative ways.
We also want to thank them for choosing Literacy Together as their May 2025 nonprofit and for collecting round-up donations at all three locations during the month. And when Hurricane Helene hit in September 2024, they didnât hesitate to step up and support us in organizing a book drive to get stories into the hands of children who needed comfort and connection.
To The Whale team and everyone who came out to support: thank you for making literacy a community effort. We couldnât do this without you!
